Michigan State Promotes Roushar To Offensive Boss

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State has promoted offensive line coach Dan Roushar to offensive coordinator.

The athletic department confirmed the move Tuesday night. Roushar will fill the spot left by Don Treadwell, who left to become head coach at Miami of Ohio.

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said shortly after the season he would look in house for a replacement, and he decided on Roushar, who has been on Dantonio's Michigan State staff for four seasons and also worked under him as an offensive line coach at Cincinnati.

Roushar also will coach tight ends, and tight ends coach Mark Staten will become the offensive line coach. Running backs coach Brad Salem also will be the recruiting coordinator, a role Staten previously filled.
