NOVI (WWJ) With many people having the day off work and school, it’s been a big day for Metro Detroit’s pizza delivery shops.
The owner of Guido’s Pizza in Novi, Renny Barris, knew it was going to be a big day for pizza delivery, saying sales were up about 400 percent Wednesday, selling out of all of the deep dish by about 12:30 p.m.
Great day for pizza sales, but was it tough for delivery drivers? “You know, the roads weren’t as bad as I thought they would be. It did take a longer time than usual for the deliveries , but I think they did a pretty good job on the roads,” Barris said.
Barris says he brought in extra help because he knew it would be busy with the snow storm. He expects it’ll be busy for the next couple of days and for Super Bowl Sunday.
