Wings 7, Ottawa 5

OTTAWA (WWJ/AP) It was a battle of the goal-keepers in Ottawa Wednesday, with the Wings pulling forward in the third period to win 6-5 over the Ottawa Senators.

Johan Franzen had five goals, Kris Draper and Niklas Kronwall each put in a goal for the Wings victory over the tenatious Senators giving Ottawa  its eighth straight loss.

Wings goalie Jimmy Howard had 29 saves.

Robin Lehner was pulled midway through the second period after allowing four goals on 19 shots in his first home start. Brian Elliott allowed two goals on 19 shots in relief.
