Car Hits School Bus Injuring 15-Year-Old

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) Southfield Police say a car struck a school bus  Thursday, injuring a 15-year-old girl.

Police say the crash happened about 7:30 a.m.

The injured student was taken to Providence Hospital as a precaution.

Police Lt. Nick Loussia says a 30-year-old man was driving a car that struck the bus, which appeared to be stuck in the snow.

Loussia says he was unsure how many other children were aboard the bus.

Police issued a ticket to the driver of the car for having an obstructed vision because his windshield was icy.
