Accused Serial Rapist Faces Separate Trials
DETROIT (WWJ) A parolee will stand trial for a series of rapes
that terrorized Detroit's eastside beginning New Year's Day.
Thirty one-year-old Raynard Coleman will face separate trials in each of the five rapes and another trial for an attempted rape.
District Court Judge Kenneth King, who heard the cases Friday, said the charges against Coleman are sad and despicable.
Coleman's alleged victims said they were sexually assaulted in his car, an alley and abandoned homes.
