Jeff Riger: Rip Might Have Played Once But Will He Play Again?

The Pistons got back to practice Monday morning as they prepare to take on the red hot San Antonio Spurs at the Palace on Tuesday night. Detroit has won a couple games in a row and instead of the media talk being about the Spurs or the winning streak; it was once again about Richard Hamilton who scored 15 points in Detroit's win over the Bucks on Saturday night, a game after being deactivated. Despite performing well and Head Coach John Kuester's praise, Rip continues not to know the next time he will see playing time. Kuester told the media that he would like all three of his 2 guards to play 48 minutes a game but that of course is impossible. Kuester also emphasized that the "Rip decision" was nothing personal, instead just about winning basketball games. Rip, along with Chris Wilcox, Rodney Stuckey and Jason Maxiell will all be game time decisions on Tuesday as they are all dealing with various nagging injuries. Watch the videos of John Kuester and Ben Wallace below for the entire story.
