Okemos-based TechSmith Corp., the world’s leading provider of screen capture and screen recording software, announced that it has integrated with Drupal, to provide new media hosting integration with Camtasia Relay, lecture and presentation capture software that is widely used within the education and business communities.
This integration, a Drupal community plug-in, will allow Camtasia Relay customers to host media within Drupal. Camtasia Relay integrates directly to this plug in, allowing for easy publishing of media content straight to Drupal. The Drupal module homepage for Camtasia Relay, including step-by-step directions for moving Camtasia Relay files to Drupal, can be viewed here.
“Our integration with Drupal media servers is very exciting for us, but even more exciting for our users, who now have an additional option for media hosting solution for their Camtasia Relay content,” said Rich Boys, Product Manager at TechSmith. “We have always been vendor neutral in terms of the video formats we support and where video content is hosted, and our goal is to support whatever platforms help our users share content, including open source content management systems like Drupal. We see a lot of interest in custom video content hosting sites based on Drupal, and we are delighted to join the open source community to support Drupal as a destination for Camtasia Relay.”
