Woman's Death Blamed On Icy Road Conditions

VAN BUREN COUNTY (WWJ) Authorities in southwestern Michigan blame icy road conditions for a crash on I-94 that killed a 60-year-old Saginaw woman.

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department says the crash happened about 9:45 p.m. Sunday near Paw Paw.

WWMT-TV and the Kalamazoo Gazette identify her as Guadalupe Jaramillo.

Deputies say she was riding in a car driven by her daughter and was returning from Chicago when it spun out of control and was hit by another vehicle.

Authorities closed the expressway for about two hours while they cleared the debris and de-iced the road.
