Snyder Makes Changes To The Mich. Parole Board

DETROIT (WWJ) Governor Rick Snyder is changing the size and makeup of the Michigan Parole Board.

The Republican governor signed an executive order Monday reversing many of the changes made by his predecessor, Democrat Jennifer Granholm.

Granholm abolished the 10-member Parole Board and transferred its power to the 15-member Parole and Commutation Board.

Snyder's executive order undoes Granholm's work. The new Parole Board will have 10 members appointed by the corrections director, not the governor.
