Novi Partners To Promote Entrepreneurship System

The Novi City Council has approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Novi and the Michigan Opportunities and Resources for Entrepreneurs Program to promote the Statewide Entrepreneurship Support System.

SESS is a Web-based software application developed by Digerati Inc. and funded by the New Economy Initiative to connect entrepreneurs to the resources necessary to move their ideas forward.

According to Ara Topouzian, Novi's Economic Development Director, "Once the MORE program launches this spring, it will be an invaluable tool for our business community to research online their specific and immediate needs with the ability for the city to follow up with them."

The MORE Program and its supporting partners provide a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, inventors and budding businesses to gain access to valuable resources. By bridging the gap between inspired individuals and the institutions that provide research facilities, expert advice or funding opportunities, we can speed-up the time it takes for an idea to achieve implementation. It's also an opportunity for these institutions to embrace the business challenges faced by society and the potential new ideas they can bring.

MORE is working on initiatives and policies to help keep Michigan's educated talent in the state. By working with colleges and universities, incubator programs, industry associations, high-tech businesses and government agencies, MORE provides quick access to resources required to develop and market new ideas for business.
