Lacking Power-Trenton Sets Up Warming Center

TRENTON (WWJ)  The city of Trenton has set up a warming center as hundreds of residents have been without power since this morning.

DTE says a high voltage line came down this morning and crews have been working all day, but have restored power to about half of the three-thousand outages.

The city hopes to get the rest back online this evening.

Meanwhile, Trenton residents are invited to warm up at the Westfield Activities Center on Westfield near West Road.

Lt. Todd Tincher with Trenton Police says, "If somebody needs transportation they can call our police desk, at (734) 676-3737 and we will arrange for transportation to the warming center."
