Students Take Futuristic Look At Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) The engineers of the future gathered together Saturday at the Engineering Society of Detroit for a special student symposium to envision the future of Detroit 30 years from now.
"We will produce a joint vision or report of what the kids see for the future of Detroit and it will go to school board , go to the city council, the mayor's office, Rob Bobb. We're really excited about it," says Chris Webb co-director of the Engineering Society of Detroit.
Webb says this event follows the Future City Competition, which featured more than 30 schools and 1,000 students.
