Epitec Group Expands Managed Services Division

Southfield-based Epitec Group last week announced the expansion of its Managed Services division.

This expansion adds to the already growing IT staff augmentation division.

"While we have increased services needed to implement standard software products, we have also grown our custom application development capabilities for clients," said Josie Sheppard, president of The Epitec Group. "This has resulted in a number of milestones for the company over the last year along with the need to hire more employees."

New customers recently acquired include GlobalHue and Meadowbrook Insurance Group.

Last year the company reported its first small business acquisition to expand the application development line of business within the Managed Services division. Since then, the unit has been hiring to keep up with demand and is expecting to continuously grow the pool of technical experts throughout 2011.

With the addition of top expertise and proven results, Epitec earned the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner designation. The certification marks Epitec as a provider of the highest level of IT solutions available in the Microsoft network. To compliment this status, The Epitec Group is also investing in the Great Lakes Area .Net User Group through a Platinum sponsorship and is acting as the volunteer Webmaster for the www.migang.org Web site.

Taking their leadership role even further, Epitec has published their own Epiworx project management software in the open source community online for any developer to study.
