Pitchers and catchers have all reported to Lakeland and the Tigers held their first official workout of the spring this morning. Carlos Guillen is even down in Lakeland early and says he feels good after micro fracture knee surgery. Guillen anticipates running and testing out that knee next week. Joel Zumaya is not being restricted at all following his latest arm surgery. Jim Leyland says Zumaya is just one of the guys.

The Pistons play the second leg of a home back to back tonight as they welcome in Atlanta. Detroit in need of wins, now 5 and a half back of Indiana for 8th in the East. Hawks lost to the Pistons at the Palace in December by 23. You can hear the game at 7 on 97.1 The Ticket.

Michigan’s Tim Hardaway Jr. was named the Big Ten freshman of the week.

MSU at now number 3 Ohio State tomorrow night, Tom Izzo today says he is not sure if Delvon Roe will be able to play or not tomorrow after injuring his knee last week. Izzo says Roe has not practiced since the injury was sustained against Penn St.
