With the announcement last week that tax credits may be reduced or eliminated to industries like alternative energy, new businesses in the industry are wondering — what’s next?

The Engineering Society of Detroit Alternative Energy Conference will bring together leaders in the industry on Wednesday, March 2, during a daylong event to discuss impending legislations, the future of the industry in Michigan, growth and funding opportunities, and much more.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn.

The conference will bring together some of Michigan’s most prominent leaders in the alternative energy industry to discuss current legislation, economic opportunities, and technologies and innovations with the focus on three areas: wind, solar and biomass.

Featured speakers include: Steven Kurmas, president and COO of Detroit Edison; Mary Lou Benecke, vice president of public affairs, Dow Corning; and Steven Milunovich, research analyst, Merrill Lynch.

The event will also feature four panel discussions on topics, such as market trends; current legislation; tariffs and federal and state tax incentives; new developments in solar, wind and bio-mass, including manufacturing and technologies; and much more.

Cost to attend this conference is $99 for ESD members or $125 for non-members. For a complete agenda, to register or for more information, visit www.esd.org

My son is one of those people. He is 16 and has pelayd the violin since he was 4. He now plays violin, guitar, banjo, ukelele, and pretty much anything he gets his hands on. You’re normal. :-) He breathes music. I do too. Where is the link for your list? Don’t see it, but I’m kinda blonde like that! :-)
