Snow Blamed For Fatal Crash

DETROIT (WWJ)   Snow-covered roads may have contributed to a deadly accident  in Imlay City.  The crash happened Sunday afternoon on Van Dyke, in Lapeer County.

Investigators say 27-year old Rachel Diaz,  of Memphis, Michigan, was killed when her car was broadsided by a tractor-trailer rig near Armstrong Road. Diaz was a passenger in a car with a 28-year old man from Hudson, Florida.

The victim's son and nephew were also in the car -- both are being treated at Lapeer Regional Medical Center.
