Hard Rock Cafe' Detroit Hosts Battle Of The Bands
DETROIT (WWJ) - In a band? How would you like the chance to open for Bon Jovi at Hyde Park in London?
Hard Rock Cafe' Detroit is looking for local bands to represent Detroit "Rock City" in a worldwide competition, with the winner performing at Hard Rock Calling 2011, one of the world's most iconic music festivals. The event features top headliners, such as Bon Jovi, and represents the chance of a lifetime for relatively unknown artists to gain exposure and perform in front of rock royalty.
Registration ends on Feb. 23 for the competition which takes place on March 11.
Lest you think your chances of winning are practically nil, well, not so fast. Last year, the Detroit band Avienne took second place in the nation!
