Power Glitches At Metro Cause Delays In Passenger Service
DETROIT (WWJ) - Power glitches at Metro Airport Saturday caused some minor disruptions to security screenings and the TRAM passenger train at the McNamara Terminal.
Spokesman for Detroit Metropolitan Airport Mike Conway says the primary power feed from DTE Energy to the terminal was lost around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
When DTE switched to another feed there was a power surge that caused the screening computers to be reset.
A second glitch happened when the original problem was fixed and power returned.
The TRAM was out of service for nearly three hours, but is back in operation.
Flights were not affected.
