Disturbing News

There are two relatively recent news stories that play over and over in my head.  They are disturbing.  Awful.  Heart breaking.

The most recent local horror involves that 69-year-old Macomb  Township woman who gets her door kicked in, in broad daylight, gets two knives stuck in her neck, and gets her purse and her rings stolen by some young thug.

The second is the sickening story of what happened to Matthew Landry of Chesterfield Township.  Young guy.  Goes to Quizno's in broad daylight.  Gets abducted.  Taken to Detroit.  Shot in the back of the head in some burned out abandoned house on the Detroit's east side.

The victims in these cases were just ordinary people doing ordinary things.  Living their lives and not bothering anybody. 

And then all of a sudden..POW!  Pure evil arrives out of nowhere, and lives are changed forever.  Hearts are broken forever.

God bless the cops for tracking down suspects in these two cases.

God bless the prosecutors for getting convictions in the Landry case.

God bless New York police for chasing and arresting the scum of the Earth suspected of attacking  the woman in Macomb Township.

And God help us all.
