Bob Seger Releases New Single

DETROIT (WWJ) – The wait is over for Bob Seger fans. A new single is out today, it’s a cover of Tom Waits’ Downtown Train.

It’s actually been in the works for many years.  Seger first cut the song in ’89 but it went unreleased, because Rod Stewart beat him to it.

Rob Stewart’s version of Downtown Train wound up in the Top 10.

The new Seger album and tour are right around the corner.
