EMU Honors Earl Boykins

Eastern Michigan University honored one of its all-time great men's basketball players on Sunday.

Point guard Earl Boykins was on hand when EMU retired his no. 11 jersey in a special half-time ceremony. Once his illustrious career ended at EMU, Boykins entered the NBA. Eleven years later, Boykins is still in the league, currently with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he wears no. 11.

While fans were thrilled to see Boykins honored by his former team, they were much less enthusiastic for the current Eagles' performance on the court. EMU lost to the Western Michigan University Broncos, 87-60.
