Queen Of Soul Meets In Birmingham With Wendy Williams
BIRMINGHAM (WWJ/AP) - Producers of ``The Wendy Williams Show'' say Aretha Franklin talked about how she's feeling following her recent surgery, her tribute at the Grammy's and her views on marriage during a taping of a show to be broadcast Wednesday.
Wendy Williams interviewed Franklin on Friday at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
The 68-year-old Franklin underwent surgery for an undisclosed ailment in December. The ``Queen of Soul'' has refused to reveal the nature of the operation, but has told The Associated Press it was "more than minor surgery.''
Earlier in the month, Franklin delivered a previously recorded message to the thousands of people who attended the Grammy Awards and to the millions who watched it on CBS-TV:
"I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be with you this evening. And, I especially want to thank all of you who took the time to send me get-well cards and flowers – beautiful flowers – and, most importantly, your prayers during my time of hospitalization," Franklin said.
