Honda Recalls Thousands Of Civic Hybrids

DETROIT (WWJ) - Honda is recalling 36,000 hybrids. The problem is with a part of the hybrid system called the DC to DC converter on Civic hybrids from the 2006 and 2007 model years.

That converter could experience an internal failure that could cause problems with the lights or even cause the engine stall. Honda says it doesn't know of any crashes or injuries related to the problem.

Honda will begin notifying customers later this month.
