UAW Objects To Gov's Decision On Daycare Union
DETROIT (WWJ) - A conflict is brewing between the United Auto Workers Union and Governor Rick Snyder.
The UAW plans, Thursday, to outline its objections to the governor's plans to stop funding the agency in charge of the union representing private daycare providers who provide assistance to low income families. The UAW calls it a war against working people.
However, the Snyder administration says they're cutting an ineffective program that hasn't helped the quality of childcare. The entire issue is likely to be decided in court.
The UAW will also detail other complaints about cuts in the Snyder budget, Thursday afternoon at Solidarity House.
