Tigers Lose To Baltimore In Lakeland

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Rick Porcello retired the first eight batters he faced and tossed three scoreless innings Friday, before Nolan Reimold and Jake Fox homered to lead the Baltimore Orioles to a 6- 2 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Porcello was sharp for the Tigers, who came into the game with a major league-low 2.01 ERA this spring, but the guys who pitched after him had some trouble.

Reimold sent a three-run shot to left off Tigers reliever Charlie Furbush in the sixth inning, and Fox added his second homer of the spring off Alberto Alburquerque in the eighth.

Detroit has lost three straight after a 5-0 start to the spring.

The Tigers, who got a solo homer from Ryan Strieby in the ninth, rested most of the regulars in anticipation of split-squad road games Saturday.
