Former Red Wing Kocur Charged With DUI
DETROIT (WWJ) - A former Detroit Red Wing is in trouble with the law for allegedly driving drunk. An attorney for Joe Kocur appeared in 92nd District Court in Mackinac County and waved an arraignment on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated.
Kocur will have to appear in court April 20.
Michigan State Police troopers arrested Kocur in St. Ignace two and a half weeks ago, but have not released any information about the case. There was a Red Wings Alumni hockey game that weekend. Kocur is the president of the Alumni Association.
WWJ left a message seeking comment with Kocur's attorney.
