Major Water Main Break In Garden City
GARDEN CITY (WWJ) - A muddy mess in Garden City, where residents are starting the week with a major broken water main.
The water main break is at the intersection of Middlebelt and Warren. It's the second water main break in a matter of days, and it sent water and mud spewing from the ground. Part of the road is shut down, while crews dig it up with a backhoe to effort its repair.
Dozens of residents have either muddy water flowing from their taps or no water at all. The hope is to have service restored Monday morning.
