Red Wings Report: Notes, Quotes

--Henrik Zetterberg has just two goals in his past 23 games, though he has been setting up teammates, with 18 assists during that stretch. Thursday was the first game this season in which Zetterberg did not register a shot on goal. It snapped his streak of 102 games with at least one shot, dating back to Jan. 9, 2010. Zetterberg has failed to record a shot in only four games over the past four seasons. He ranks fourth in the NHL with 259 shots this season.

--Mike Modano is getting reacquainted to his point position on the power-play unit, after missing three months with a lacerated wrist. Modano has set up a power-play goal in each of the last two games. His speed and agility at the blue line, coupled with his tremendous shot, complements the team's many skilled players.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We gave them a lot of momentum when they scored the second (goal). Then they kept throwing pucks at the net and weren't giving up. We made it harder on ourselves trying to make plays when they weren't there." -- Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom.
