Center for Michigan Seeks Input On Snyder Tax Plans
The Center for Michigan, Detroit Public Television and MiVote.org are inviting the public to a series of "common-sense conversation" events on Gov. Rick Snyder's budget proposal this spring.
Each event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on the dates below:
* March 23 at Macomb Community College South Campus in Warren
* March 30 at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor
* April 6 at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn
* April 20 at Detroit Public Television in Wixom
Many of Gov. Snyder's proposals were suggested by citizens in community meetings held all across the state by The Center for Michigan.
Through Michigan's Defining Moment public engagement campaign -- the largest in Michigan's history -- The Center for Michigan gathered the views of 10,000 Michigan citizens into a Common Ground Agenda for Michigan's future. (Details can be found by clicking on Echoes of Community Conversations.)
