ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Royal Oak will come alive on this Fat Tuesday, as the city hosts it’s annual Pub Crawl.

Mr. B’s managing owner John Dempster told WWJ 700 to 800 partiers turned out for the crawl last year.

“Everybody has great time, they get beads and decorations every place, it’s a lot of fun. But nobody gets too out of hand,” said Dempster.

Dempster said the desire to go out and celebrate Mardi Gras is growing in Detroit.

“It’s not on the same level as St. Patrick’s Day but it’s definitely a good, fun party atmosphere,” said Dempster.
