Forecasters say untreated roads will become covered with a mix of snow and sleet and that could lead to slick spots. Click here for the latest traffic information.
The National Weather Service says “a quick accumulation of snow and sleet up to two inches is expected by 9 a.m. Wednesday.” AccuWeather says the most snow and ice will be in the northern suburbs.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that people should be ready for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
Last Friday icy roads led to hundreds of accidents throughout Metro Detroit.

Mostly cloudy early Wednesday morning. Some sleet and freezing rain will occur before dawn, and there will even be some snow mixing in. Low near 30, with the temperature rising around daybreak. Slick travel is anticipated, with snow and ice accumulating around an inch, especially north of I-96.
Later Wednesday: A wintry mix will change to plain rain, breezy. High 42.
Cloudy Wednesday night with a couple of rain showers, perhaps a snow shower late. Low 35.
Thursday: Cloudy and brisk with a couple of snow showers. High 40.
Friday: Times of clouds and sun. High 42.
Saturday: Cloudy and breezy with the chance rain and snow showers. High 39.
