Entertainment Publications In Web-Based Rebranding

Troy-based Entertainment Publications LLC, publishers of those famous coupon books, said Wednesday that it would now operate under a new name: Entertainment Promotions.

The company said the change in name better represents the company's broad range of promotional offerings for businesses and fundraisers.

For schools and other organizations looking to raise funds, Entertainment offerings go beyond the well-known Entertainment coupon books to include other discount and promotions products as well as gift wrap, cookie dough, gourmet treats, gift products and more.

The new name also more accurately reflects the scope of Entertainment  Membership Programs, which integrate online and mobile customer access with the Entertainment membership book or other printed products. Members enjoy the best in market discounts any time, any way, anywhere they're looking to save money.

For the 70,000 merchants who make up the Entertainment Promotional Network, representing over 190,000 locations, Entertainment provides a diverse suite of products to reach consumers in all the ways they want -- print, online and mobile.

"Entertainment Publications was started 50 years ago as a coupon book company, but now we offer our members so many ways to save, and to control when and how they do it," said Melissa Fisher, chief marketing officer at Entertainment Promotions. "We're still the brand that people have trusted for 5 decades, but we've evolved into a significant promotions company for merchants and community fundraisers. The Entertainment Promotions name better represents who we are today."

Entertainment Membership Programs include the traditional Entertainment coupon books, used by more than four million members; Entertainment.com, where members can print coupons off the Web; the Entertainment Book Companion mobile app for iPhone and Android; Entertainment on social media.

Consumers can acquire an Entertainment membership online at Entertainment.com, in nearly 30,000 retail outlets and through fundraising organizations. A customer chooses their membership area from among more than 150 editions representing unique market areas. Each edition features a mix of local and national coupons for dining, shopping, travel, services, events and attractions, with literally thousands of dollars in potential savings.
