Jimmy Buffet Bringing Margaritaville To Detroit

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) -  Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band are bringing Margaritaville to Detroit this summer! The group will perform at DTE Energy Music Theatre for one night only on Thursday, July 21 at 8 pm, as part of Jimmy Buffett's "Welcome To Fin Land" Tour 2011.

"Jimmy Buffett has always been the concert of the summer. Detroit area Parrotheads have snapped up every ticket for every concert within minutes of them going on sale. We are pleased to announce Jimmy Buffett is returning to carry on the tradition," Alan Ostfield, President and CEO of Palace Sports & Entertainment, said in a release.

Jimmy's latest release "Encores," is a live acoustic double CD that  features 22 of Jimmy's intimate final encore songs recorded in different U. S. cities and Paris during his 2009 tour. This unique collection showcases Jimmy solo acoustic, includes some special guests and is unlike anything he has released before.
