Man Charged With Shooting Bald Eagle

GENESEE COUNTY (WWJ) – The Genesee County prosecutor’s office is charging a man with shooting a bald eagle near his Gaines Township home.

A warrant has been issued for James A. Nelson. The 65-year-old faces misdemeanor charges of shooting an endangered species and reckless discharge of a firearm.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment has been investigating the shooting since last month when the eagle was found with a broken wing.

What on earth is wrong with people?!? Why not a camera instead of a gun?!?

  • Steve

Why does everything have to be shot at? Ever notice that? I wonder why that is?

One idiot doesn’t represent the way everyone would act. that’s the way that idiot acted. A camera would’ve been intelligent but that’s not what we are talking about.
