–Denver’s 18 made 3-pointers Saturday set an opponents’ franchise record against the Pistons. Phoenix held that mark for less than a year after making 15 3-pointers on April 3, 2010. The Nuggets’ 37 3-point attempts also established an opponents’ franchise record.

–By going winless on their three-game road trip, the Pistons dropped to 7-27 on the road this season. They have a combined 17 road wins over the last two seasons. With seven road games remaining, the Pistons are on pace to have their worst back-to-back road records since they went 10-31 in 1993-94 and 6-35 in 1994-95.

“It is about pride, but when you go out and play like that at the end of the game, that is not pride at all. J.R. Smith is one of my good friends, but when a guy is on fire like that, you can’t continue to let him shoot. Our guys out there on the floor just continued to let him shoot.” — F Tayshaun Prince, after Smith scored 31 points in a 30-point Denver win.
