Fennville's Basketball Run For Title Ends

VICKSBURG (WWJ) — The race for a title - following the death of a teammate ended Monday for Fennville High's boys basketball team, with a loss to Schoolcraft 86-62 in Class C regional play. 

The nation followed Fennville High's playoff run, following the death of junior Wes Leonard, minutes after hitting the game winning basket in regular season finale earlier this month.

Fennville (23-1) won three straight playoff games to claim its district championship last week.

Schoolcraft (23-0) advances to face the winner of Monday night's late game between Bridgman and White Pigeon.
