There has been a lot of controversy regarding whether or not the incoming draft class should boycott going to New York for the NFL Draft. NFLPA spokesman George Atallah has since come out and said no one has asked anyone to boycott anything. But for argument sake let's say the players did ask this of the incoming draft class. Although in the minority I would not oppose of it. I understand that it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and this is something certain players dream of but this is life and things happen. Things and especially life doesn't always go as planned. This is all for individual praise and although they aren't on a team yet they will be and are already part of a fraternity of football players. No matter whose side you are on each side must stand united and strong. Work stoppage doesn't happen all the time so this is a unique circumstance and although I would feel for the players who wouldn't be able to go there is a greater cause that the players are fighting for. And to ask this of only 15-20 players for something that will affect thousands of players I wouldn't think this would be too much to ask. After all football is a team sport isn't it?
