Body Found, Dumped From Vehicle

PORT HURON (WWJ) - The St. Clair County Sheriff's office is trying to identify the body of a man who was dumped into a ditch in Port Huron Township, Wednesday morning.

WWJ Newsradio 950 spoke with Sheriff Tim Donnellon who said they learned of the body after they received a call from a witness.

"The citizen observed two men dump, what was later discovered to be a male -- a deceased male, out of a vehicle into a ditch area.  This was on Hueling Road, just north of Lapeer Road in Huron Township, and that's kind of a desolate, dead end road," Donnellon said.

No identification was located on the body, and detectives from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office and police are working to track down the man's identity.

Sheriff's officials said there was no immediate indication as to how the man died. An autopsy will be performed Thursday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at (810) 985-8115.
