New Breed of Digital Agency Launched in Metro Detroit

A new breed of digital agency that blends creative and technical specialties in one flexible model has been launched in Troy. MartinJay Digital, formerly Bossdev, announced its new structure and model Wednesday.

“The industry has become fragmented — splintered between large agencies and hundreds of specialty digital houses that produce pieces of work for agency clients,” said Scott Blackwell, MartinJay digital executive vice president and director of business development. “We wanted to create a model that would bring together strategists, developers, social geniuses, and media buying teams — all backed by the best creative talent in the business. We think it’s a powerful model. The best creative work is produced when you bring great minds together around an idea instead of fragmenting it across silos.”

MartinJay Digital was founded six years ago as an application development company that produced Flash games, Web sites, social and mobile apps, over time establishing social strategy, digital media, and creative divisions.

“We’ve reconstructed our teams during the past several months to create highly skilled knowledge groups that work together to achieve the greatest level of innovation and creativity,” said Ken Stock, MartinJay Digital Executive Creative Director. “We’ve brought together the dreamers and the doers, if you will. The space that we work in changes so quickly. A nimble, cross-functional team not only helps us create the best work for our clients today, but anticipates what’s coming around the bend tomorrow.”

MartinJay Digital is an independently operating subsidiary of the Boss group of companies, headquartered in Troy.
