Appia Communications Inc., a Traverse City-based provider of managed communication and network services, announced the successful completion of the integration of the operations, network and products of St. Louis, Mo.-based Voxitas.
Appia announced the purchase of Voxitas, a national provider of Voice Over Internet Protocol and Multiprotocol Label Switching network services, last July, and completed the purchase in August.
The company is now unified under the single Appia brand at the Website www.appiaservices.com.
“I am impressed at how quickly and efficiently our team folded in Voxitas’ SIP Trunking and MPLS businesses,” said Victor von Schlegell, Appia’s president. “Our primary focus remains delivering reliable and affordable managed services to our customers. Through this integration we have made the whole better than the sum of its parts.”
The milestones completed include:
* All customers are supported by a 24x7x365 network operations center
* Appia’s nationwide network is now under a single, world-class MPLS management infrastructure
* All Appia services are available nationwide from all Appia network locations
* Deploying customer data center and cloud computing space at Appia’s St. Louis network operations center
“In addition, we completed the combination of our channel and wholesale sales teams,” von Schlegell said. “This move nearly doubled the number of Appia channel partners and expanded our wholesale offering to include all of our products.”
Appia provides managed communication and network services, with a focus on small to midsize companies and organizations. Appia serves markets nationwide, with operations in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Mo. and Washington D.C.
