Fatal Shooting In Southfield; Police Looking For Suspect

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) – Domestic violence ends in gunfire, and one person is dead.

Southfield Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Thursday evening near 11 Mile Road and Marshall, near Greenfield.

A man was in the parking lot of the Palace Party Shoppe on 11 Mile, when he walked across the street to his former girlfriend’s house, and allegedly shot her. The shooting happened around seven o’clock.

The 28-year old woman died.

Southfield Police say there were two kids in the house at the time of the shooting.  The man then allegedly walked back across the street, got in his car and drove away. 

Police are looking for a 31-year-old Detroit man.  They’re also reviewing security video from the nearby party store.
