Student Dies After Being Hit By Car

A Dakota High School student who was hit by a car on Tuesday morning  has died from her injuries.

Macomb County Sheriff Tony Wickersham says 18 year old Neeosha Nelson died Thursday two days after she was hit while standing on 21 Mile Road near the school. 

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped and helped the student.

The investigation is continuing.  A report will likely be sent to the prosecutor’s office which will decide if any criminal charges will be filed.
