Barking At Dog Lands Man In Jail
BUENA VISTA TWP. (WWJ) - How many times have you barked at a dog for absolutely no reason at all? Well, you'll want to think twice before having some fun with a police dog.
Who hasn't, at some point, barked at a dog just for the heck of it? A Saginaw-area man did just that and it landed him in the doghouse, which in this case is the Saginaw County Jail.
Buena Vista Township Police Officer Jeff LaLonde was sitting in his patrol car following a traffic stop outside of a liquor store when the suspect passed by. After seeing the German shepherd, named Zeus, in the back seat, the man allegedly started barking at him which, police say, interfered with Zeus performing his duties. That is a misdemeanor and the suspect, if convicted faces up to one year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
