Como's Restaurant To Host 'Dating In The Darque'

FERNDALE (WWJ) - On the heels of a hugely successful event last month in Royal Oak, where over 80% of singles had "mutual matches," organizers who brought the idea of dating in the dark to Metro Detroit unveil their latest social experiment.

Como's Restaurant in Ferndale is the latest venue to host Dating in the Darque - Detroit's "Mix & Mingle" event, Wednesday, March 23 at 6:30 pm.

"Mix & Mingle" is a sophisticated "darque" themed social experience for singles, couples and young professionals. This emerging social trend allows individuals, couples and groups of friends to network, increase their social circles and improve their chances of meeting someone worth dating. And it's all done in the dark!

Throughout the evening guests will enjoy music, complimentary appetizers, dessert and engaging conversation with other blindfolded individuals in a controlled setting.

Participants will be immersed in a unique, intimate atmosphere where vision is abandoned in exchange for a new, more stimulating, multi-sensory environment. Imagine a social and dining experience which awakens your senses and presents new pleasures.

Tickets are available in advance for $25 each or $40 per couple, and include complimentary hors d'oeurvers, dessert and a customized blindfold. A cash bar will also be available.
