Tony Ortiz: Tigers Make More Cuts

The Detroit Tigers make a series of roster moves today, as they send five players to the minor leagues. The five are pitchers Robbie Weinhardt and Fu-Te Ni, catcher Max St. Pierre, outfielder Clete Thomas and second baseman Scott Sizemore. The demotion of Sizemore, who was hitting just .243 in 13 games this spring, likely clears the way for Will Rhymes and Danny Worth to be the second basemen on the Tigers' opening day roster. All five will likely start the year at Triple-A Toledo.
