GRANDVILLE (WWJ) – Grandville police say a woman accused of impersonating an officer across West Michigan has been arrested in Columbus, Ohio.

A Detective told The Grand Rapids Press the 27-year-old suspect is jailed on a $50,000 bond and faces a felony count that could land her in prison for up to four years.

According to authorities, the suspect approached an elderly woman on March 8 in a Grandville shopping center parking lot, showed the victim a badge and told her she was involved in a crime.
