West MI Police Impersonator Arrested In Ohio

GRANDVILLE (WWJ) - Grandville police say a woman accused of impersonating an officer across West Michigan has been arrested in Columbus, Ohio.
  
A Detective told The Grand Rapids Press the 27-year-old suspect is jailed on a $50,000 bond and faces a felony count that could land her in prison for up to four years.
  
According to authorities, the suspect approached an elderly woman on March 8 in a Grandville shopping center parking lot, showed the victim a badge and told her she was involved in a crime. The impersonator demanded to be taken to the victim's home, which she searched. Police said the woman acted similarly during incidents in Grand Rapids, Wyoming and Portage.
