URC To Host 'Transforming Transportaton'

Michigan's University Research Corridor schools are holding a major conference on transforming transportation systems April 7-9.

"Transforming Transportation: Economies and Communities" will be held at the Book Cadillac in Detroit.

URC officials say the event has a "very specific outcome... establish a concerted and multi-disciplinary research basis for informing and supporting industry, community and government on transforming the future of transportation.

In preparation for the summit and the research agenda, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University are each working with researchers and partners on their individual campuses, and working with each other to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts.
