Sexual Predator Stalks Kids Through X-Box Live

SALINE (WWJ) - A Saline man is accused of trying to entice young girls into having sex via video games.  Twenty-year-old Robert Lynch hasn't turned himself in yet. 

Police were tipped off by an administrator at Saline Middle School--who found a student in possession of condoms. Several students came forward to say they were having sexually- charged chats with Lynch via Microsoft's X-Box live. 

Detective Don Lupi with the Saline Police department tells WWJ that there are approximately five minors involved and Lynch is currently facing three charges against two of the five minors.

"A valid complaint and warrant has been signed by a magistrate. Lynch is scheduled to turn himself in at another time, that time is unknown," says Det. Lupi.

Charges were authorized related to two victims both 14. Lynch met with the girls on multiple occasions.

Several students between the ages of 11 and 14 were regularly having online chats of a sexual nature with Lynch.

Among other accusations, Lynch apparently encouraged the girls to leave a sleepover and drove them to a strip club in downtown Ypsilanti.

The charge is Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes, which is a felony and carries a maximum four years for each charge.

On the advice he would give to parents: "All parents need to monitor their children actions whether it's text, internet or chatroom, they need to monitor their children's activities," says Det. Lupi.

Police, at this time do not think there was any sexual contact.
