Good news for the Red Wings, The NHL has decided not to review the Todd Bertuzzi hit last night on Ryan Johnson of the Blackhawks. The Detroit forward booted from the game for an elbow to Johnson's head. Bertuzzi said he tried to let up at the last minute and even sought out Johnson during the game in the Hawks dressing room to apologize, he will not be suspended.
The Tigers are in Tampa today for the exhibition finale against the Yankees, Rick Porcello on the hill against Freddie Garcia. Both teams will go with their usual lineup today with starting many of their regulars for the final tune-up.
Jim Leyland is none too pleased with ESPN the magazine and an article where they quote an unnamed big league player whom they call player X. The player rips Miguel Cabrera and compares him to a crazy uncle in the family that can never get his life right. Leyland says it's gutless and chicken bleep.
